ACTOR’S BIOGRAPHY

 

BIYOUNA

Biyouna was born and raised in Algiers and grew up in a family very involved in the arts. She started as a dancer and singer at age 14 and then began acting  in the theater. At age 17 she was singing in the largest clubs of Algiers. It was there that she was discovered by director Mustapha Badie who gave her her first role in television. Later in her career she worked with Nadir Moknèche who casted her in several feature films. In 2011, Biyouna starred in the feature film, “La Source des Femmes,” which premiered at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival and opened in Paris in November. On January 24th 2012, she will open a one woman show at the theater Marigny in Paris.

BRUNO PUTZULU

Originally Sardinian, Bruno was born and raised in Toutainville. In 1994 he became an actor at the French National Theater where he stayed until 2003. He started his film career in 1994 and throughout his years as an actor he worked with well known directors such as, Bertrand Tavernier, James Ivory, and Jean-Luc Godard. In 1996 Bruno was nominated as “best new actor” at the French Cesars awards, and in 1999 he won this award for the film, “Petits Désordres Amoureux.” To this day he has acted in more than 35 feature films, as well as short films and television shows. As a side project, Bruno is a musician and song writer and recently put out his second album.
